Swede Winborg
Born and raised in Northern Utah, Swede grew up painting and drawing in the art studios of her father, Jeremy Winborg, and her grandfather, Larry Winborg. She enjoys creating abstract cityscapes and landscapes and has received multiple awards in recognition of her artistic achievements. Among these honors, she earned First Place in Utah's First Congressional District at the Springville Student Art Show. Her painting, Seaport View, was displayed in the United States Capitol Building for one year. In 2021, she was also named Utah's Outstanding Art Student of the Year.
Today, Swede continues to paint cityscapes and seascapes while increasingly focusing on Western landscapes and portraiture. Her work is distinguished by vibrant color palettes, expressive palette knife techniques, and bold brushstrokes that create rich texture and movement throughout each painting.
Swede regularly exhibits her work in both local and national shows, including The Russell Art Auction. She is currently studying art at Brigham Young University–Idaho while continuing to paint alongside her father and grandfather.
